Akaashi wasn't sure if it was a habit born from his desires, or a habit from continued practice. The ink stains on his fingertips, and the messy piles of paper that filled his room were the only evidence. It wasn't enough to tell him why he was doing this- why he continued to, but that never stopped him from picking up the brush once more.Minute, long strokes across the paper with practised ease. Akaashi was writing from muscle memory, he didn't even need to look to know what it looked like.Not even the amount of time he spent playing volleyball could make this habit disappear. Every night he would write the alphabet, no matter how tired nor how much homework he had. It was something so deeply ingrained in him, much like his sets in volleyball.Always almost perfect.
